While training is vital for understanding how to deliver an evidence-based psychosocial practice such as supported employment or assertive community treatment, it is rarely enough to ensure uptake within a healthcare organization. The intervention needs to be relatively simple, fit an organization’s priorities, and, where possible, be adapted to the local patient population. It should be able to be incorporated within existing provider workflows, and be reimbursable through existing funding streams. Keep these factors in mind if you are interested in helping your organization to adopt or expand use of an evidence-based practice.
