What are some useful strategies for conducting supervision remotely during or after the COVID-19 pandemic?

Many of the same principles that apply to good telehealth clinical practice can also be applied in virtual supervision. Consider your “webside manner” — replace a handshake with eye contact, be attentive to your body language, and make sure your gaze angle is focused on the camera rather than the computer screen. It is important to establish a clear structure for supervision, which can include daily team huddles, weekly team group meetings, and individual meetings with your staff. Include a mix of telephone and video meetings to help prevent “zoom fatigue.”
