Providing clinical services in sparsely-populated rural areas can present a variety of challenges. The presenters discuss issues related to the treatment of first episode psychosis (FEP) in remote settings, covering topics including: community education and outreach; considerations for infrastructure development; delivering medical and psychosocial interventions over distances; workforce development issues; and strategies for setting up a telehealth system.
