If an individual has a known neurological disorder, can the Cognitive Assessment Interview (CAI) still be used?

The Cognitive Assessment Interview (CAI) is not meant to be diagnostic. Rather than a diagnostic tool, the clinician is documenting the individual’s severity level of cognitive impairment so any condition with cognitive functioning deficits would be relevant for the CAI.
