In this webinar representatives from the EASA program in Oregon and the PIER program in Maine discuss the importance of community outreach in early psychosis programming. Since shortening the duration of untreated illness is a key factor is improving outcomes, a broad and effective community referral network is essential. Practical examples of how to approach the outreach task and who should be included in the network are discussed as well as the importance of a public education effort to raise general awareness of the signs and symptoms of early onset psychosis.
