Is there an easy to use screening tool for anxiety levels that is clinically meaningful?

The Generalized Anxiety Disorder-7 (GAD-7) is easy to use,  and the score will indicate the severity of anxiety symptoms. Depending on the level of anxiety indicated by the results, a more detailed assessment of anxiety may be warranted. GAD-7 is a great scale to use clinically over time (or pre/post treatment) to measure differences in anxiety level over time. For example, clinicians might utilize this scale quarterly with patients to analyze trends. You can find the GAD-7 here. Information on sensitivity and specificity for different disorders is included.
